Our Story

Why CETE Was Founded

The Centre of Excellence in Tax Education (CETE) was established at KCA University to bridge the persistent gap between classroom learning and real-world tax practice in Kenya. For years, graduates entered the workforce with strong theoretical knowledge but limited practical application skills. CETE was created to change that — by integrating practical tax training, applied research, industry collaboration, and community engagement into a single, world-class centre that serves students, professionals, businesses, and government alike. Unlike purely law-focused tax centres, CETE emphasizes practical application, compliance systems, digital tax administration, data analytics, and taxpayer education — making us uniquely equipped to drive Kenya's fiscal future.
